Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross that are housed in St. Anthony's Chapel are truly masterpieces. The near life-size figures are carved from wood and are one of two known sets in the United States.  They were made in Munich by the Royal Ecclesiastical Art Establishment of Mayer & Company.

1st Station - Pilate sentences Jesus to death 2nd Station - Jesus accepts the cross 3rd Station - Jesus falls the first time 4th Station - Jesus meets his sorrowful Mother 5th Station - Simon helps Jesus carry the cross 6th Station - Veronica wipes the face of Jesus 7th Station - Jesus falls the second time 8th Station - The Women and children weep over Jesus 9th Station - Jesus falls the third time 10th Station - Jesus is stripped of his garments 11th Station - Jesus is nailed to the cross 12th Station - Jesus dies on the cross 13th Station - Jesus is taken down from the cross 14th Station - Jesus is laid in the tomb
